The dietary habits of the Galapagos tortoise include a variety of green and fibrous vegetation, such as grass, tree bark, and cacti. At the park, Estrella and Hugo enjoy a diet rich in fibre, including carrots, bamboo stalks, hibiscus leaves and flowers, and lucerne hay alongside occasional watermelon treats. Galapagos tortoises are known for their remarkable longevity, with the oldest recorded in Australia, Harriet, reaching the age of 175 years before her passing in 2006.
