Delighting children around the world in the days leading up to Christmas, the shape was captured by Amanda Kirkwood during an electrical storm caused by Cyclone Jasper over Queensland this weekend (16Dec23). During the storm, Amanda Kirkwood decided to film the stunning light show in the sky above her. When she reviewed the recording she had made on her smartphone, she was amazed to discover she had captured a “heavenly apparition”, in the form of this striking image of a unicorn’s head in the cloud formation above.
