The test followed a route similar to the planned one for the official Relay Day on 13 July, traversing notable landmarks and venues across the Aube department. From Clairvaux Abbey in Ville-sous-la-Ferté to the Roger Couderc Stadium in Nogent-sur-Seine, passing through locations like the Nigloland theme park in Dolancourt and the shores of Lac d'Orient in Mesnil-Saint-Père, the route showcased the architectural, natural, and sporting treasures of the region. The day omitted passage through the town of Ervy-le-Châtel to maximize time for debriefing. This trial provided an opportunity to assess logistical and operational challenges, including convoy movements and Torchbearer experiences. Volunteers selected by the Department of Aube got a preview of the Torchbearer role, experiencing the journey from preparation to return to the Torchbearer centre. The event also saw the testing of promotional vehicles by Torch Relay presenting partners. Security measures were thoroughly examined during the test, with police and gendarmes ensuring constant presence and support throughout. The crucial role of Flame Guardians in preserving the Torch's integrity was highlighted, with rehearsals of various tasks they'll undertake daily during the Relay.
