Headline: RAW VIDEO: Roads Collapse In Iceland Ahead Of Feared Volcanic Eruption

Caption: This videos shows cracked and collapsed roads in and around the town of Grindavik in Iceland on Sunday and Monday (12-13 November2023). The road collapses are as a result of increased seismic activity ahead of an anticipated volcanic eruption in the south-west of the country. The Reykjanes peninsula has been hit by hundreds of earthquakes, as between midnight and Monday afternoon, the Icelandic meteorological office detected about 900 earthquakes between Sundhnúkur and Grindavík - around 26 miles from the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik. The Fagradalsfjall volcano, one of 36 active ones in Iceland, sits just north-east of Grindavík - between the town and the capital. The country is in a state of emergency as it awaits the anticipated eruption - and residents have been evacuated from the area.
