Headline: Destruction Of Ukraine's Kakhovka Dam Creates 'Plague' Of Dead Fish Up River In Dnipropetrovsk

Caption: This video footage, published on Wednesday (7June2023) shows a “plague” of dead fish by the Dnipro River in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region. The bizarre phenomenon has been caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Plant Dam downriver in the Kherson region. Although settlements downriver have been inundated with flooding as water has passed through the dam, upriver the waterline has receded - in this case stranding shoals of fish. Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, who shared the footage, did not give further details of the location. “Dnipropetrovsk region - a mass plague of fish due to the terroristic destruction of Kakhovka HPP by the Russians,” he wrote. Ukraine’s leadership have blamed Russia, who occupy the area of the Kherson region where the dam is situated, for its destruction.
