Headline: RAW VIDEO: Orphaned Kittens Strike Up Adorable Friendship With Abandoned Duckling

Caption: At Caenhill Countryside Centre in Devizes, a remarkable and heartwarming tale of friendship has unfolded, bridging the gap between species and touching the hearts of all who witness it. Beatrix, an orphaned kitten, has struck up a firm friendship with Moja, a duckling who was abandoned by his own mother. Beatrix and her sister Coral’s mother appeared at the farm unexpectedly, and it soon became apparent that she was pregnant. After her kittens were born, deemed healthy and fully weaned that the mother cat was finally brought to the vet for spaying. Tragically, during the operation, the new mum passed away, leaving behind her two vulnerable kittens. In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, Chris Franklin, the project director at Caenhill Countryside Centre, stepped in to provide the extra care that Beatrix and Coral needed. However, he also got some extra help from another one of his charges - Moja - who gets on famously with the sisters, and Beatrix in particular. While missing their respective mothers, Beatrix, Coral, and Moja formed an extraordinary bond. Moja, the little duckling, became a source of companionship and comfort for the two kittens as they navigated the challenges of farm life without their mother. Their friendship blossomed, and it wasn't long before they were seen playing together, sharing cuddles, and even sneaking into Chris' office. These inseparable friends could also be found closely following Chris around the farm, embodying one of the most heartwarming farmyard friendships one could imagine. At Caenhill Countryside Centre, where the mission is to support both young people and rescue animals, this story of unlikely friendship serves as a poignant reminder of the power of compassion and connection, transcending the boundaries of species and warming the hearts of all who bear witness to this remarkable bond. For nearly a decade, the Caenhill Countryside Centre has been a sanctuary for both young people and rescue animals, fostering a sense of community while providing a forever home for many animals. Animals find their way to this haven for various reasons, often with the assistance of local organizations like the RSPCA, who collaborate closely with the centre to ensure the well-being of these creatures. When animals arrive at Caenhill, they are welcomed into the family, with the commitment that they will have a loving home for life. In cases where rehoming is possible, animals are carefully placed in other projects or loving homes. Images and video show Beatrix with Moja.
