Headline: RAW VIDEO: UK Skydiver Completes Incredible 'Inflatable Unicorn' Jump
Caption: This week (end24September2023) Skydivers in Langar, Nottinghamshire have been attempting a daring achievement of bravery and precision - parachuting out of a plane to land on an inflatable unicorn. Tandem instructor Jan Zackl was the only one who managed to land directly on top of the inflatable perfectly - although others managed a certain degree of precision in hitting either their slippery landing strip or striking it. The competition was only open to experienced skydivers - due to the difficulty and danger of achieving the feat. Expert skydiver Laura Hampton said: “The unicorn landing looks easy, but it’s actually the result of years and hundreds of skydives worth of practice. Jan who makes the perfect landing has made thousands of jumps and received a lot of coaching in how to fly his canopy so precisely.” All those who attempted the unicorn jump had a minimum of 200 descents and had been fully trained and coached in precise canopy landings. The unicorn and the slip and slide was part of an event at Langar called Boogie Two, their annual skydiving ‘festival’ where jumpers celebrate the main skydiving season with lots of fun and social activities plus tonnes of skydiving.
