Headline: RAW VIDEO: Porsche Debut Powerful Green Fuel 911 GT3 R rennsport supercar

Caption: Porsche enthusiasts and collectors are in for a treat as the legendary automaker has unveiled the extraordinary limited-edition 911 GT3 R rennsport at the Rennsport Reunion 7 event hosted at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, California - which concludes on 1 October 2023. This track-focused green marvel of a supercar, with a staggering power output of up to 456 kW and 620 bhp , is based on the latest 911 GT3 R from the current 992 generation. This unique collector's gem is limited to a mere 77 units and boasts an eye-catching design. The Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport perfectly marries the robust aesthetics of a high-performance racing machine with contemporary design elements. While celebrating Porsche's motorsport heritage, it avoids any retro-inspired look, retaining essential performance factors from the original GT3 model, such as air resistance and aerodynamic downforce. Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Motorsport at Porsche, states, "The new Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport offers the experience of driving a nine-eleven-based racing car in what is probably the most primal form. It gives you goosebumps whenever you look at it and combines the finest motorsport technology with a design language that is typical of Porsche." Designed by Grant Larson and Thorsten Klein from the Style Porsche team, the 911 GT3 R rennsport serves as a spiritual successor to the modern Porsche 935. Unlike the 935, which was derived from a near-standard 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, this latest edition utilises the current 911 GT3 R of the 992 generation as its foundation, creating a thoroughbred racing car. Larson adds "We have given the limited edition model a little more width and have visually stretched the length, while at the same time it sits very low on beautifully designed wheels, giving it perfect proportions." The body of the 911 GT3 R rennsport differs significantly from its standard GT3 R counterpart. Apart from the bonnet and roof, every other body element has been redesigned to enhance aerodynamics. Larson's team borrowed most of the aerodynamic features of the car's nose, including cooling air intakes and ducts. The side fins and flics have also been reworked, now framed by a side cowl to protect them from external damage. The front wheel arches now feature a radically modified air intake and outlet panel design, showcasing a more assertive appearance. The traditional exterior mirrors have been replaced with a digital equivalent consisting of three cameras integrated into the vehicle's skin. The modifications continue at the rear end, where a prominent rear wing takes center stage, inspired by the iconic Brumos Porsche 935/77. This design harks back to the victorious 24 Hours of Daytona race in 1978. Additionally, a light bar featuring LED strips and illuminated Porsche lettering characterizes the wider rear section. The open rear apron reveals the technical components and the centrally positioned twin tailpipes of the exhaust system. Inside the 911 GT3 R rennsport, the design continues to impress. Fender-mounted exterior cameras blend seamlessly into the interior, and special graphics on the central display splash screen and limited edition number add unique touches. The car also features ambient lighting that mirrors the color-adjustable main headlights. Safety features adhere to FIA standards, and a rigid roll cage permits only the driver's seat. The 911 GT3 R rennsport rides on 18-inch wheel rims from BBS, painted in Dark Silver Metallic as standard. Michelin offers exclusive racing tires specifically designed for this model, featuring improved warm-up and drivability. Under the hood, the 911 GT3 R rennsport houses a 4.2-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that revs up to 9,400 rpm. Thanks to fewer regulatory restrictions, it delivers a remarkable power output of up to 456 kW (620 PS), setting a possible record for naturally aspirated GT racing car engines. The engine is designed to run on various fuels, including bio-ethanol, reFuel, and regeneratively produced e-fuels. An electronic gearshift actuator controls gear changes via steering wheel paddles. The chassis closely resembles that of the GT3 racing car, with five-way adjustable racing shock absorbers. Michelin Pilot Sport tires, specially designed for the GT3 R rennsport, enhance the driving experience. The aluminium monobloc racing brake system from AP comes with brake pads featuring titanium backing plates to reduce unsprung mass. Porsche aims for a kerb weight of 1,240 kilograms for the 911 GT3 R rennsport, which would result in an impressive weight-to-power ratio of 2.0 kg/PS.
