Headline: RAW VIDEO: Italy's 'Caravaggio of Tattoos' Luigi Mansi Wows Russell Crowe With Realistic Portrait

Caption: As a tattoo artist, Italian inker Luigi Mansi stands out as capable of truly bringing his subject matter to life as his creations are incredibly true-to-life. Based in Latina, south of Rome, Mansi has been honing his craft since the tender age of 19, leading him to being dubbed the "Caravaggio of Tattoos" due to his love of the Renaissance painter and realistic style. His tattoo portraits are not merely ink on skin; they embody a captivating blend of impressive realism and beauty, presenting art in its most authentic form. They have even drawn the attention of Russell Crowe, who wrote on Twitter/X: “I’m told this is by Italian tattoo artist @luigimansi_ . I’m flabbergasted. I’ve never seen tattoo work like this. Strength and Honour Luigi.” Speaking of what it was like to be praised by Russell, Luigi said: “I was incredible, a unique emotion! As soon as I received the notification I didn't believe it, I thought it was a fan page or a fake profile, but after seeing the blue check it was crazy. “From now, every time I watch that film, I will think that Russell looked at one of my tattoos and shared it saying that is one of the best tattoo ever seen! I'll have to get used to this idea!” He also said that if Russell is up for getting a tattoo it would be “wonderful” to do the honours. Mansi's journey into the world of tattoos was shaped by a lifelong love for drawing. Even during his early years, he exhibited a talent that set him apart from his peers. He then trained as certified tattoo artist, and four years ago, he proudly opened his studio in Latina Scalo. Mansi draws inspiration from Caravaggio, particularly admiring the 15th Century master's adept use of contrasts, shadows, and light points in his art. The influence is evident in Mansi's own style, where the echoes of Caravaggio's techniques resonate in the intricate designs etched onto his clients' skin. He has utilised his talent to give clients incredible, realistic portraits of their favourite stars, a loved one or animals like tigers, wolves, and dogs. He believes that for his clients, getting a tattoo is like purchasing a painting as they express someone’s personal taste, appreciation of art, and will last.
