Headline: RAW VIDEO: Largest Hamas Tunnel In Gaza Uncovered By Israeli Troops

Caption: This video shows: drone footage of the tunnel. The Israeli military announced the discovery of the largest Hamas tunnel to date in the Gaza Strip, positioned just a few hundred metres from the Erez border crossing. The underground passage is part of an extensive network stretching over 2.5 miles (4km), according to the Israeli army. The forces estimate that constructing such a complex system, complete with drainage and sewage systems, electricity, ventilation, communication networks, and rails, would have cost millions of dollars and taken years to complete. The project's leadership is attributed to Mohamed Sinwar, the brother of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar. The intricate passageways boast compacted earth floors, reinforced concrete walls, and a metal cylinder entrance with 1.5cm thick walls. Israeli forces also released video they claimed showed Mohamed being driven through the tunnels. Other footage claimed to have been filmed by Hamas showed them under construction. It revealed a small construction vehicle being driven through the tunnel, a workshop and excavation processes. Hamas launched an attack on Israel on 7 October, killing about 1,140 people and taking about 250 hostages, according to the latest Israeli figures. In response to the October attack, Israel initiated military action to dismantle Hamas and free the hostages. Estimates from the Hamas-controlled Gazan authorities put their death toll at more than 18,000.
