Martial arts legend Jackie Chan carried the Paralympic flame through the streets of Paris on Wednesday (28 August 2024) ahead of that evening’s opening ceremony.

The 70-year-old action star and brought his characteristic charisma to the event, waving enthusiastically to the crowds lining the historic city’s streets.

Dressed in a white flame bearer tracksuit and sporting his signature black eyeglasses, Chan was met with cheers and applause.
The Paralympic Games' opening ceremony featured a grand parade of more than 4,000 athletes, all of whom have physical, visual, or intellectual impairments, marching down the famousChamps-Elysées to the Place de la Concorde in central Paris.
