Aston Martin has revived its famous Vanquish nameplate with the introduction of a new flagship sports car that is the fastest series production Aston Martin ever built.

Originally conceived as a plug-in hybrid with a V8, the final design of the new Vanquish reflects a decision to retain the traditional V12 engine configuration that has defined Aston Martin’s top models for over two decades.

Lawrence Stroll, the company's Executive Chairman, has overseen the development of the car.

Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer, Roberto Fedeli said: “It was inconceivable that a new Aston Martin flagship should be powered by anything other than a state-of-the-art V12. To this end our engineering team completely reworked our existing 5.2-litre Twin-Turbo engine from block casting to cylinder heads."

He went on to say that the car, “delivers performance characteristics unmatched by any other car in its category. As such Vanquish makes an emphatic statement, with its abundant power and prestige surpassed only by the passion and skill poured into its creation”.
The Vanquish name first appeared in 2001, following the debut of the 1998 Project Vantage concept. This latest incarnation continues that legacy, combining cutting-edge engineering with a commitment to luxury and exclusivity.

Priced at around £300,000, the new Vanquish will be limited to fewer than 1,000 units per year, ensuring its status as a highly coveted model among collectors and enthusiasts alike.
At the heart of the new Vanquish is a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, producing a staggering 835PS (824bhp) and 1,000Nm of torque. This powertrain enables the car to reach a top speed of 214mph, making it the fastest series production Aston Martin ever built.

The engine has been meticulously engineered to meet the latest global emissions standards while maintaining the high performance that Aston Martin is renowned for.

The new Vanquish is not just about straight-line speed; it has been designed to offer a balanced and engaging driving experience. The chassis, crafted from bonded aluminium, features advanced suspension and dynamic control systems, including an electronic rear limited-slip differential. This setup ensures that the Vanquish can deliver both the comfort of a grand tourer and the precision of a supercar.

Aston Martin has also equipped the Vanquish with a suite of technological advancements, including a Boost Reserve function that enhances turbocharger responsiveness for more immediate power delivery. The car’s sophisticated aerodynamics, highlighted by a distinctive Kamm Tail design, further optimise performance by reducing drag.

Inside, the Vanquish’s cabin combines the focus of a driver’s car with the highest levels of comfort and technology. A panoramic glass roof, standard on the V12 model, enhances the sense of space and light, reinforcing the car's blend of luxury and performance.

Lawrence Stroll added:“With the introduction of Vanquish we have crowned Aston Martin’s next-generation sports car portfolio. A true halo model in every respect, Vanquish makes an emphatic statement. One that further delivers on our mission to create the most potent, most beautiful and most exciting cars in the ultra-luxury sports car market.
