Caption: 1,500 Disney collectibles are heading to auction. The exceptional collection belongs to toy collector Joel Magee who possesses the largest individually-owned collection of Disneyland and Disney Park items in the world. Collecting for over 30 years, Joel owns over 6,000 items and has one of the most remarkable toy collections in the world. One particularly noteworthy item is a 1917 Model T Ford "Global Van Lines" moving van from Main Street, which was once driven by Walt Disney himself. Another is a Dumbo Attraction Elephant Vehicle which was used at Disneyland in the 1960s. Reflecting on his lifelong passion, Magee shared, "I have dedicated a significant portion of my life to scouring the globe for the most extraordinary Disney items that encapsulate the history of such a magical place." Members of the public will have the opportunity to view the 1,500 pieces at a free pop-up exhibition in Burbank, California, until July 16, 2023. The auction will take place at Van Eaton Galleries in Studio City, California, on July 17, 2023, coinciding with Disneyland's 68th birthday.
