Caption: Kesha thanks fans for support after exiting Dr. Luke's label. The Tik Tok singer's deal with the former producer's label Kemosabe - which is distributed by RCA Records - officially ended last week seven months after Kesha released her last contractual album, Gag Order, a source told Variety on Monday. Kesha, 36, had been locked in a legal battle with the label founder, real name Lukasz Gottwald, for almost 10 years. The pop star seemingly confirmed the news on her Instagram Story by thanking her fans, known as animals, for having her back. “Thanks for holding me like a drunk best friend through the last 10 years animals.” She also posted a photo of her standing naked in a stream and added, "Coming back home to me.” Back in 2014, Kesha accused Dr. Luke of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2005 and fought to be released from the label. He denied the claims and sued her for defamation, insisting that she made up the allegations to get out of her record deal. Amid the legal battle, Kesha remained contracted to Kemosabe and released the albums Rainbow, High Road and Gag Order. In June this year, Kesha and Dr. Luke settled the defamation dispute out of court weeks before it was due to go to trial and indicated that their agreement marked the end of their protracted legal battle.
