Caption: Phillip Schofield hits back at claims of 'toxic' culture at This Morning. The 61-year-old presenter stepped down from the daytime show after more than 20 years earlier this month and resigned from ITV altogether on Friday after admitting to an affair with a younger male colleague. On Sunday, Dr. Ranj Singh, This Morning's former TV doctor, claimed there was a "toxic culture" on the show and he was "managed out" after raising his concerns two years ago. Seemingly responding to the allegations on Monday, Schofield wrote on his Instagram Stories: ”Now I no longer work on This Morning I am free to say this. I hope you have noticed that it's the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice.” "This Morning IS the best show to work on, with the best people. In all the years I worked there there was no toxicity.” “You can listen to those persistently loud voices if you like. But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it IS a family of wonderful, talented, kind, hard working people.” In response to the TV doctor's comments, a spokesperson for ITV insisted in a statement that network executives are "fully committed" to giving its employees opportunities to raise their concerns. Schofield was dropped by his longtime agency on Friday after he publicly confessed to having a secret relationship with a younger male ITV employee while still married. He insisted the incident was unrelated to his recent resignation from This Morning. The TV host publicly came out as gay in early 2020 and separated from his wife Stephanie Lowe, the mother of his two daughters. THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
