LEGO Koenigsegg breaks speed record at Goodwood. A Koenigsegg made out of LEGO has broken a speed record for a car made out of the toy bricks at Goodwood Festival of Speed. The LEGO version Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Megacar tackled the famous Goodwood hill climb in reverse. According to the companies, it reached a top speed of 111km/h, making it the fastest drivable LEGO car ever. It was driven by Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh, who set the hill climb record in the real Sadair's Spear during the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The life-size vehicle was built using 327,906 LEGO elements and weighs approximately 1,800kg, including around 400kg of LEGO components. The project required more than 9,400 hours of development and construction. The feat marks a new collaboration between the Danish toy brand and the Swedish hypercar manufacturer on a LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear set, the latest addition to the LEGO Technic Ultimate Car Concept Series, which is due to launch in July. The set will be priced at £399.99 in the UK.
