Headline: UNCAPTIONED: NASA Shares Series Of Spectacular Images Showcasing 19 Spiral Galaxies
Caption:
NASA has unveiled a series of spectacular images showcasing 19 spiral galaxies. In the new images, captured by the James Webb Space Telescope, the galaxies sparkle in unprecedented detail. While astronomers have examined neighbouring galaxies for decades, the new views show their stars, gas and dust in the highest resolution ever captured. The closest of the 19 galaxies is called NGC5068, about 15 million light-years from Earth. The most distant of them is NGC1365, about 60 million light-years from Earth. A light year is the distance light travels in a year, 5.9 trillion miles (9.5 trillion km). The images will help scientists to better understand star formation and the evolution of spiral galaxies.
