"Israel has not done enough to protect aid workers trying to deliver desperately needed help to civilians." "It's a serious event that we are responsible for and it shouldn't have happened and we will make sure that it won't happen again.", Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israeli military, via statement. World Central Kitchen referred to the probe and disciplinary actions as "important steps forward,". but called out the army for failing to follow its own protocols.
