Headline: UNCAPTIONED: Ryanair Reports Strong Summer Bookings and Stable Fares

Caption:

Ryanair reports strong summer bookings and stable fares. Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary says summer bookings across Europe are ahead of last year, with fares holding up well. The airline remains “reasonably optimistic” about reaching its summer targets, driven by peak-season demand. O’Leary expects average fares to nearly recover from a 7% decline seen in last year’s July-September quarter. Consumers have not altered travel plans despite this summer’s heatwaves, he noted. U.S. tariffs remain a potential drag on global economic growth, O’Leary warned. Boeing will deliver 14 Ryanair 737 MAX jets earlier than scheduled, easing previous delays in aircraft delivery. Ryanair will double capacity at Tirana Airport to four million passengers per year starting next April with three new aircraft based there. The airline plans to boost Swedish capacity by 25% this winter, adding eight new routes after the removal of the country’s aviation tax. Ryanair’s marketing chief, Dara Brady, called on Sweden to freeze airport charges and offer incentives, aiming to potentially double Swedish traffic by 2030.
