Nancy Sinatra pays tribute to legendary guitarist Duane Eddy. Frank Sinatra's daughter has led tributes to the rock 'n' roll guitarist, who died on 30 April aged 86 after a battle with cancer. ”Duane Eddy and I were friends for nearly 60 years and I am heartbroken over his passing. Sending love and condolences to Deed (his wife) and the family and their friends. Farewell, old friend, godspeed and stay cool.” According to his wife Deed Abbate, the Grammy-winning musician died in Franklin, Tennessee, surrounded by his family. ”Duane inspired a generation of guitarists the world over with his unmistakable signature 'twang' sound. "He was the first rock and roll guitar god, a truly humble and incredible human being. He will be sorely missed.” Eddy, also known as the King of Twang, rose to fame in the 1950s and '60s and had a number of chart hits, including 1958's Cannonball, 1959's Forty Miles of Bad Road and 1960's Because They're Young. The New York-born musician sold 100 million records worldwide and his songs have appeared in more than 30 films and TV shows over the years. Eddy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
