Zendaya wears two looks on 2024 Met Gala red carpet. The Dune actress, who has been pulling out all the stops with her press tour looks this year continued her best-dressed streak when she served as a co-chair of fashion's biggest night. Zendaya hit the steps of New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing a custom Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano creation, which was based on a 1999 Dior dress. Honouring this year's The Garden of Time theme, she wore a dark blue and emerald green siren dress. She accessorised the peacock-style look with a net mesh, a feathered fascinator and dramatic dark red eyes and lips. But that wasn't all - Zendaya upped the ante by returning to the bottom of the steps in a completely different outfit near the end of the evening. For the second appearance, the 27-year-old wore a black taffeta gown with a corset bodice and a long flowing skirt from Galliano's first couture collection at Givenchy. She completed the look with a large floral headpiece that was designed by milliner Philip Treacy for Alexander McQueen in 2006. She also switched up her beauty look and went for natural make-up. Rita Watnick, founder of vintage clothing dealer Lily et Cie in Los Angeles, told The New York Times that Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach bought the second gown. ”It says, 'I am not an emissary for a brand. I am my own emissary.’" Galliano designed the gown in 1996, the year Zendaya was born. This year's event marked Zendaya's first Met in five years. Reflecting on her comeback on The Jennifer Hudson Show recently, she said, "I haven't gone to the Met in a long time so I'm a little nervous but it's exciting.” THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
