Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said the report was "true" and accused Netanyahu of "criminal negligence" for allegedly disregarding the warning. The UAE declined to confirm or deny the reported conversation but said relevant intelligence has been and continues to be shared between appropriate authorities. The controversy comes ahead of Israel's October elections, with Netanyahu's opponents making accountability for the October 7 attack a major campaign issue.
