Nightdive Studios Announces Remaster of Cult Classic Horror Game 'The Thing’. Nightdive Studios announced at IGN Live that they are remastering the cult classic survival horror game, The Thing. This 2002 game, based on John Carpenter's iconic horror film, will be released digitally on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch later this year. The remaster, created with Universal Products & Experiences, features upgraded graphics and animations through Nightdive's KEX Engine supporting up to 4K resolution at 120FPS.
