Headline: Megan Thee Stallion wins Savage copyright lawsuit
Caption:
Last year, the star rapper was accused of ripping off a little-known 1999 track on the song. The lawsuit, filed last year by producer James A Greene, claimed that Stallion's mega-hit infringed the copyrights to his 2020 song, It's About To Be On. He claimed Savage producer J White Did It had access to the earlier track via his manager, as reported by Billboard. However, Judge Katherine Polk Failla ruled that there was insufficient evidence to prove that claim and dismissed the lawsuit, finding no evidence the superstar had even heard the instrumental track.
