Luke Grimes is interviewed about Marshals Season 2, reprising his Yellowstone role as Kayce Dutton. Grimes discusses Kayce’s renewed sense of purpose as a US marshal, his complicated relationship with the Dutton family legacy and his guilt over the trauma experienced by his son Tate. He also reflects on Yellowstone’s appeal, combining procedural storytelling with continuing character arcs, and his preference for character-driven drama. Asked about a potential crossover with Beth and Rip’s Dutton Ranch, Grimes explains that there are currently no plans, although he does not consider it out of the question.
