Eurogamer report that publisher Paradox Interactive have announced that the game, originally due to land in October 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S has now been bumped back yet again, after the initial bump back from this Spring to October to now un unspecified date. The dev team have been honest about it, and shared that they are "struggling to get Cities: Skylines 2 to the necessary level of optimization for a console release.” Also, that they have ‘not yet met the stability and performance targets’ it had set, for both PlayStation and Xbox. Paradox have posted on their forum…. "We expect to receive a new [Release Candidate], which will undergo a thorough review in August. This evaluation will determine whether we can begin the submission process and provide a solid release date, or if further issues need to be addressed." Disappointing news for console players, that is true, but at least we can be sure that Paradox are working on it!
