Gunman Attacks Catholic School Mass in Minneapolis, Killing Two Children. A tragic school shooting has shaken Minneapolis. . Police say 23-year-old Robin Westman opened fire with three guns through the stained-glass windows of a Catholic church during a school Mass on Wednesday, killing two children and injuring 17 others before taking his own life. The victims, ages eight and ten, were among hundreds gathered for the first all-school Mass of the year at Annunciation Catholic School. Most of the injured were students; three elderly parishioners were also hit but are expected to survive. Authorities say Westman, a former student at the school, left a manifesto and suicide videos online, expressing admiration for past mass shooters. FBI Director Kash Patel called the attack an act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime targeting Catholics. Police noted the gunman legally purchased the weapons and even barricaded church exits from the outside. Minneapolis' mayor urged the public not to politicize the attacker's gender identity, instead pointing to America's easy access to guns. President Trump has ordered flags nationwide lowered to half-staff in mourning.
