Stardew Valley Creator Confirms Return to Work on Haunted Chocolatier. Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley, has confirmed that development on his next game, Haunted Chocolatier, is still ongoing. In a recent blog post, Barone expressed that it had been "a little sad to see Haunted Chocolatier getting dusty on the shelf.” He explained that his involvement in the Stardew Valley 1.6 update, which expanded from technical tweaks to include new content, "kind of snowballed" and drew his focus away from his next game. With the 1.6 update for Stardew Valley having launched on consoles last month, Barone is now free to shift his focus back to developing Haunted Chocolatier. ”I like making games, and I have a lot more that I want to share, with Haunted Chocolatier and beyond," he said. The release of Haunted Chocolatier is still some time away, but Barone has confirmed there will be no early access or pre-orders before its full launch.
