Exercise in short vigorous bursts. Shorter exercises can feel more manageable and easier to fit into a busy day. ”Studies have shown that little and often takes the win. Doing smaller, more manageable sessions of physical activity is as good, if not better than, longer bouts of exercise.” Focus on muscle-strengthening exercises. As we age, our muscles decrease in size and strength, making everyday tasks more challenging. Keep moving. It is important to make time for some form of exercise every day, even if it is just a short walk around the block. Find something you love doing. Doing exercises you actually enjoy will help you feel more motivated.
