In the new romance fantasy, Olivia Colman plays an outcast fisherwoman who asks a basket maker to weave her a wicker husband, who is brought to life by Skarsgård. Debicki, who plays one of the villagers, told Variety that she first saw Skarsgård on set when he was wading through water "stark naked as wicker" in his full-frontal bodysuit and prosthetics. "I turned the corner, and I was like, 'Hi, Alex!' and I went bright red because my brain couldn't compute what it was seeing," Debicki recalled in a joint interview with Colman and Skarsgård.
