According to TMZ, The news comes courtesy of a notice filed on Monday in the Federal District Court of New York. The notice lists Alexandra Shapiro as Combs' lawyer, and his team are likely to file their substantive brief for the appeal within four to six weeks. The filing on Monday does not explain the grounds on which Combs will base his appeal, but his lawyers have previously argued the conviction should not stand because the statute, transportation for the purposes of prostitution, does not apply.
