Cyber-Attack Forces Jaguar Land Rover to Halt UK Production. Jaguar Land Rover has been forced to halt production at its two main UK plants after a cyber-attack severely disrupted operations. The company, owned by India's Tata Motors, said it shut down IT systems as the attack was detected, in an attempt to limit the damage. Workers at factories in Solihull and Halewood were sent home, with retail operations also badly hit at a peak time for car deliveries. JLR says there is no evidence that customer data has been stolen, and teams are now working to restart systems safely. The National Crime Agency is investigating, following a string of recent cyber-attacks on UK retailers. The disruption comes as JLR battles rising costs and weaker profits, adding fresh pressure to Britain's largest carmaker.
