Spotify Raises UK Premium Prices Again. Spotify is increasing the price of its UK Premium individual subscription from £11.99 to £12.99 per month. The £1 rise represents an 8.3% increase and will take effect after a one-month grace period for existing users. Subscribers have begun receiving emails notifying them of the change, first revealed by the Money blog. This marks Spotify’s second price hike in two years — the last £1 increase came in spring 2024. Spotify said the update reflects “local market conditions and economic factors” as it continues to “enhance the value” of its service. Users who do not wish to pay the higher rate can cancel their subscription anytime before the next billing cycle. The student discount plan, priced at £5.99 per month, will remain unchanged. With 15.3 million subscribers in the UK — nearly half the market — Spotify remains the country’s leading music streaming service.
