Ariana Grande has won the coveted Video of the Year for Brighter Days Ahead at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards in New York. After reading a long list of collaborators who were involved in making the video, Grande closed out her speech by saying, "Thank you to my therapist and gay people.". Lady Gaga took out the prize for Artist of the Year, claiming her trophy and thanking her fiancé, Michael Polansky, before leaving the star-studded ceremony to perform at Madison Square Garden, as part of her The Mayhem Ball Tour.
