Musk Confirms Ukraine Starlink Restrictions as Connectivity Returns. Elon Musk says SpaceX restricted Ukraine's Starlink service after officials reported connectivity had returned to normal. He accused Ukraine of violating service terms by using the civilian satellite network for offensive strikes. Musk had previously denied limiting connections, which Kyiv said hampered defensive operations for over a week. Ukrainian adviser Serhii Beskrestnov challenged Musk's account, saying existing restrictions prevent deep strikes using commercial Starlink. Musk denied responsibility for simultaneous problems affecting Starshield, the separate military system controlled by America's government. Trump said he ordered Musk to restore service, while denying he had instructed any earlier restrictions. Ukraine's defence minister reported stable connections, with drones now exceeding 400 kilometres per hour during operations. The disruption coincided with tensions between Washington and Kyiv over Ukrainian attacks targeting Russian oil infrastructure.
