The Dead by Daylight PvE spin-off, Project T, has been canceled due to disappointing feedback from player testing. According to Eurogamer, Behaviour Interactive has canceled its four-player co-op spin-off of Dead by Daylight, referred to as Project T, after early player testing "yielded unsatisfactory overall results.” Developed by Midwinter Entertainment, Project T aimed to offer a PvE experience within the Dead by Daylight universe. Players would assume the roles of trespassers in the Entity's realm, facing new enemies called The Thrall using weapons like guns, trucks, and talismans. When announced in May, Project T was described as being in the very early stages of development. Behaviour Interactive had planned to launch an Insider Program to gather feedback from fans. ”When we conceptualised Project T, we wanted to have players involved in it as early as possible, which lead to the creation of the Insiders Program. ”This approach has allowed us to get very early validation on the project's core design and gameplay, which is something that often comes much further into the production of a game”. "Following the playtest in July, we ran a thorough internal risk assessment from a product and commercial perspective. While a number of players expressed appreciation for what they played, unfortunately, the outcome of this deep analysis yielded unsatisfactory overall results.” When Project T was unveiled back in May, it was accompanied by news of two additional Dead by Daylight spin-offs.
