Original stars Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino, who are both on board for the 20th Century Studios project, took to social media to share a photo of themselves on set. Wearing the quirky costumes that came to define their characters, they announced, "The reunion you've been waiting for! The Romy and Michele sequel is now in production.". It has been nearly 30 years since Romy, played by Sorvino, and Michele, played by Kudrow, returned to Tucson, Arizona for their 10-year high school reunion.
