Last week, Israeli Defense Forces raided Kamal Adwan Hospital, arresting around 100 people, including many medical staff. Only a handful of doctors remain, caring for hundreds of patients in dire conditions. Patients lie on thin mattresses amid scattered surgical gloves, medicine packets, and pools of blood, with soiled gowns and blankets piling up in corridors. Hospital director Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, one of just two remaining doctors,described the scene as catastrophic. He added that healthcare services are virtually non-existent. While the IDF has withdrawn, claiming the hospital was a Hamas base, hospital staff deny any presence of Hamas at the facility.
