Boeing Strike Ends as Workers Accept New Pay Deal. Boeing workers have ended their seven-week strike after accepting the company’s latest pay offer. The new contract provides a 38% pay increase over four years, plus a one-time $12,000 bonus and adjustments to retirement plans. According to the IAM union, 59% of the 30,000 striking employees voted in favor of the deal allowing them to return to work as soon as Wednesday. The walkout, which began on 13 September, had significantly disrupted Boeing’s production. Union leader Jon Holden praised workers for standing up for fair wages while Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg emphasized the need to restore the company’s reputation for excellence.
