In a statement shared on social media Tuesday, the couple said both Usha and the baby are healthy, with the birth expected in late July. The Vances are already parents to three children — Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel. Their youngest was born in December 2021, during JD Vance’s U.S. Senate campaign in Ohio, when Usha Vance was working as an attorney. The White House quickly offered congratulations, describing the Trump administration as “the most pro-family administration in history.”. The announcement comes just two weeks after JD Vance revealed that an intruder allegedly broke into the family’s Ohio home and vandalized a Secret Service vehicle. JD Vance is also the second administration official to share pregnancy news recently, following White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt’s announcement last month.
