Liam Payne's toxicology report reveals high blood alcohol level at time of death. The former One Direction singer passed away at the age of 31 in October 2024 after falling from the third-floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He had "traces of alcohol, cocaine and a prescribed antidepressant" in his body at the time of death. In a new report from Argentina's Public Prosecutor's Office, it was revealed that Payne's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was up to 2.7 grams per litre (0.27%).A BAC of 0.27% can cause serious impairment and symptoms including confusion, disorientation, and feeling dazed, according to alcohol.org. The rest of the report confirmed the presence of cocaine and the antidepressant sertraline in Payne's system at the time of death. Five people were charged in connection with Payne's death in December. Argentina’s Court of Appeals dropped the negligent homicide charges against Liam’s good friend Roger Nores and hotel workers Gilda Martin and Esteban Grassi. Ezequiel Pereyra and Braian Paiz - who are accused of selling Payne drugs - will remain in jail as they await trial.
