Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu to Have 3-Point Competition. The Golden State Warriors point guard and New York Liberty guard will compete in the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA three-point shootout, CNN reports. The contest will take place on Feb. 17 during All-Star Weekend. Curry holds the NBA record for most three-pointers with 3,585. But last year, Ionescu set a new WNBA record for making the most three-pointers in one season with 128. During last season's three-point competition, she set an all-time WNBA and NBA record, scoring 37 out of 40 points. Ionescu took to X to let fans know that she'll shoot from the NBA line to ensure a level playing field. Curry told TNT that he thinks "this is like the coolest thing ever". "I love the confidence, I love the competition. It’s a new format on that stage. Obviously, I’m coming to win. I think she is too." Steph Curry, via statement. Each regular bucket will be worth $1,000, and each money ball will be worth $2,000. The "STARRY Range Ball," shot from 29 feet and 9 inches away, will be worth $3,000. All proceeds will go to charity. THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
