Previously, the actress-singer revealed she had been diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease that attacks healthy tissues, often affecting joints, skin, kidneys, and lungs. She received a kidney transplant in 2017. During an interview for the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast on Tuesday, Selena described how the disease has affected her hands. "I have arthritis in my fingers, and that's due to my lupus. So, I remember before (launching my beauty) brand, I was trying to open a water bottle and it hurt really bad before I was on the right medication.".
