Caption: 76ers Trade James Harden to Clippers. The blockbuster trade was made on Oct. 30, according to ESPN's sources. Harden asked to be traded in June upon opting in "to his $35.6 million player option for the 2023-24 season," ESPN reports. The Clippers deal has reportedly been on the table since July. In August, Harden referred to 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey as "a liar". The 10-time All-Star guard will now head to the Clippers alongside P.J. Tucker and Filip Petrusev. In return, the Sixers will receive Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Nic Batum and KJ Martin. They will also receive "a 2028 unprotected first-round pick, two second-round picks, a 2029 pick swap and an additional first-round pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder," ESPN reports. Sources close to Harden say that the 34-year-old is "ecstatic" to be joining the Clippers. He hopes to fly to California as soon as possible and may even attend the Clippers-Magic game on Oct. 31. The Clippers will then face the Lakers on Nov. 1. THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
