IGN report that thanks to the leaked visuals published by Twitter user Zuby_Tech, which were also spotted on Reddit and Imgur, it seems that the device is running Android OS. However what is seen in the video seems not likely the final version of the handheld’s operating system. There is also a peek at the innards of the impending Project Q which show that the controllers won’t detach from the device, a different story to the original announcement which said it will include an 8-inch size tablet sandwiched by DualSense Controllers. When Project Q does finally land, the idea is for it to be a companion device for the PS5 not a cloud gaming streaming device, as explained by PlayStation boss jim Ryan.
