Caption: VIDEO SHOWS: David Keddie is interviewed by journalists outside his home near Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli, Wales. His property stretches from the immediate road access point to the hotel (which is private land not belonging to the hotel but belonging to David and his partners house/land), and further backs onto the former hotel car park. STORY COPY: Protestors have gathered outside Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli, Wales after controversial plans to house asylum seekers in the venue were announced. This is the fourth day of protests which started on Friday, July 7. The Home Office plans to house 241 asylum seekers at the hotel. The Furnace Action Committee, a local group opposing the scheme, said around 250 people protested at the hotel entrance on Friday. It had been expected that the asylum seekers were to arrive at the hotel today with more people gathering to oppose the plan. Last month 95 staff at the hotel were told their jobs would be terminated today, July 10. The council has said the change will harm the town's economy and cost more than 25% of its hotel rooms as well as impacting weddings and tourism.
