Associated Press reports that the year ending July 29 saw pumpkin-flavored product sales hit $802.5 million in the U.S. This year, on its 20th anniversary, Starbucks' iconic beverage will be available to purchase in the U.S. and Canada beginning Aug. 24. While most people seem to welcome the offering, there are those who'd rather not see it return. In fact, there is a group on Facebook called "I Hate Pumpkin Spice.". Nevertheless, Starbucks' sales of pumpkin spice drinks were up 17% last year, AP reports. A 2022 study conducted by researchers at Montclair State University in New Jersey found that only 8% of social media posts mentioning pumpkin spice were negative.
