Headline: UNCAPTIONED: AT&T and T-Mobile Change Autopay Discount Requirements

Caption: AT&T and T-Mobile Change Autopay Discount Requirements. The two wireless carriers have joined Verizon in requiring a debit card or bank account instead of a credit card for their autopay discounts, The Verge reports. The change is intended to reduce credit card processing costs for the companies. Both current and new customers must adhere to the new requirement to continue receiving the same autopay discounts. T-Mobile implemented the change in July. AT&T will impose its new rule beginning Oct. 2. With AT&T, if you keep a credit card on file as your autopay method, they will only reduce your discount for the time being, not eliminate it. Instead of $10, you'll get $5 off. T-Mobile will no longer accept Apple Pay or Google Pay for its $5 discount. Verizon will actually let you keep your autopay discount with one credit card, as long as it's a Verizon Visa card.
