Caption: Amazon Says Comply With Return-to-Office Policy or Else. CNN reports that Amazon's CEO has told employees to comply with a return-to-office plan or seek employment elsewhere. CEO Andy Jassy made the statement at a recent internal event, reported on by Insider. The overall message reflects the tech company's continued pressure on U.S. employees to physically return to the office at least three days a week. In remarks shared with CNN, Jassy said that staff members are entitled to disagree with or criticize the return-to-office policy, but they are not entitled to disregard it. CNN reports that critics have cited the legal rights of workers who were hired last year as virtual employees and whether they can legally be forced to work in an office. In May, hundreds of Amazon workers took part in a walkout to protest the new policy. Earlier this month, Amazon sent employees an email informing them that their attendance was being tracked. Amazon said workers were not physically checking in at the office as often as the policy requires. CNN reports that Amazon previously said its remote work policy would evolve along with the pandemic, suggesting it could eventually be brought to an end. According to Jassy, Amazon possesses little data to support an indefinite policy that allows for remote work. THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
