In her upcoming memoir, 'Worthy,' Pinkett Smith shared more details about the couple's relationship, including how it began and where it currently stands. According to Pinkett Smith, their relationship status was kept secret because they were : "Still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in partnership ... In regards to, how do we present that to people? We hadn’t figured that out.". "By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying. I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be." NBC reports that Pinkett Smith added that she has never been able to go through with a legal divorce, despite considering it.
